Most Anticipated Video Games Of May 2024

We cannot wait for what May has in store for us when it comes to video game releases. By the looks of it, we have some really big releases that are expected to completely rock the gaming industry. We have put together 5 of the most anticipated video games of May 2024 that we cannot wait to get our hands on. So, let’s take a look and see what is expected!

 

Prison Architect 2:

First up released within the first week of May on May 7th is Prison Architect 2. Available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S prison architect 2 is a strategy video game sequel of the original Prison Architect that was released back in October 2015. Within the game, players run their prison on a brand new map, paying bills and ending up being monuments to rehabilitation or retribution. It’s up to you to control your world!

Due to such a wide release gap between the first and second games, Prison Architect 2 has been highly anticipated by gamers, and we cannot wait to see how the game has improved!

 

Animal Well:

A couple of days later on May 9th, we will see the next game to enter PS5, PC and Nintendo Switch platforms, Animal Well. The indie, platformer action game will allow players to explore an interconnected labyrinth and uncover the secrets it holds. Tasks include collecting items to manipulate the environment and attempting to survive what hides in the dark.

 

Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2:

Later on in the month Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 will be hitting the Xbox Series X/S scene. This puzzle, adventure video game will follow on from the original game which came out in 2017 and follows the main character Senua who is setting out to confront Viking marauders on their home turf. The game has been anticipated for a while now after being announced way back in 2019 at the 2019 Game Awards. It was then set for development and officially given its 2024 release date in 2021.

 

Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door:

And of course, Nintendo had to continue their monthly release streak with Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door which is set to release May 23rd, 2024. Obviously, on Nintendo Switch, this game is an action, adventure video game where Princess Peach finds a map in an old town filled with crime, Mario sets off to the town of Rogueport where he finds the Crystal Stars. Nintendo have been on fire recently with their constant releases which never disappoint, further adding to the anticipation of this new arrival. In general, the Mario games are classic, family favourites… they are always well received when a game is announced.  

 

F1 24:

And finally, our last most anticipated video game for May 2024 is 24 releasing on May 31st, 2024, the racing video game from the beloved Formula One Series. Like the usual games, the f1 24 game is back with fully licensed teams, tracks, and drivers for the upcoming season. There are lots of new modes and features that have been added to make the game better than ever and we cannot wait to check them out!
